Curtains
All our curtains are made-to measure and we are highly experienced in devising solutions for awkward or restricted window spaces, as well as larger bay or floor-to-ceiling frontages.
With a wide range of stylish fabrics to choose from, achieving a fresh look for your home or premises is quick, easy and economical.
Our fabrics vary from standard colour ranges to luxury prints, all available at discount prices.
Pinch pleat – consisting of a triple or double pleat, a classic decorative look ideal for any room, stacking back neatly to allow maximum light. Can be used with tracks, poles and fascia boards.- Eyelet – a neat, more contemporary style; simple, unfussy lines suited to straight or bay windows in any room. Only available on a pole.
- Wave – simple but effective style, softly folding in and out; a classic look for the modern, contemporary property. Best suited to a wave track and suitable for straight or bay windows.
- Pencil pleat – headings made with a 3 or 6” tape, gathered to desired width using cords on the heading; creates a relaxed, informal look and suitable for most windows. Suited to both tracks and poles.
- Goblet – made with rows of fluted material in the form of goblets, achieving a formal, luxurious finish particularly appropriate for long-drop curtains. Suited to tracks, poles and fascia boards.
- Swags & tails – a formal style that incorporates the draping and folding of material to emphasise depth and richness of the material; best suited to rooms with taller ceilings and/or large windows.
Blinds
Roman – hand-made in selected fabric, stack up evenly when opened and easy to operate; suits most decor and can look either formal or informal; a good choice to insulate a room as drafts are reduced.- Venetian – available in wood or metal, and in most colours; made up of horizontal slats and controlled by a cord that can be adjusted to allow the optimum amount of light. Particularly useful for rooms in full sun.
- Vertical – blinds available in multiple colours, shades and patterns; vertical, overlapping slats that are rotated to open/close using a chain to left or right of blind. Suited to all rooms.
- Roller – available in many shades and colours, plain or patterned, easy to operate with a chain to left or right; can cover all or part of window as required, so suitable for all rooms.
- Blackout – can be made in all of the above styles other than Venetian; particularly suited to bedrooms, ‘cinema’ rooms or other areas requiring light reduction.
- Thermal – an alternative to our classic Roman blind that incorporates a heat-saving lining; also available for all lined curtains.

Upholstery
Upholstery is a specialised skill and many years of experience make a good upholsterer. We recover or undertake a full upholstery service including securing all joints and re-springing or simply replacing foam in cushions or chair seats.
The first process is to arrange a client visit to determine requirements and to measure up the furniture to assess how much fabric is required: this depends on whether a pattern or plain fabric is used. A pattern fabric requires more material then a plain fabric. We use traditional or contemporary materials such as horse hair, foam and dacron. We will check the sofa or chair to see if any additional work needs to be carried out and recommend recovery or re-upholstery.
- Recover - to remove all existing fabric and replace with new fabric, replace interior cushions if required and recover all cushions.
- Re-upholstery - remove all existing fabric, down to framework, some frames may be damaged and require repair. We start to rebuild the furniture item using new springs, webbing and ‘stuffings’; the item of furniture is then covered in plain calico fabric (if light fabric used) and then new fabric cut and fitted to furniture.
- Finishing touches - we are experts in French piping finish and deep-buttoning. When renovating your furniture, our high level of workmanship and attention to detail provide a quality finish.
